The Artist in You

Is there an Artist inside of you that’s just dying to get out?

Do you give your Inner Artist/Child permission to explore, feel, express and share?

Or has your Inner Artist been silenced?

Maybe like me, your fears and self doubts take over and close the door on your creativity.

Or maybe like me, the voice of responsibility shames your “frivolous” dream.

Or maybe like me, your Inner Judge is too harsh and says that you just aren’t good enough. 

In my musical, GIVE IT ALL AWAY, all of these shadow voices overwhelm me.

Yet through my journey I learn one simple, yet profound lesson.

There is only one gold standard that I can live up to. 

There is only one gold standard that allows me to be an Artist. 

There is only one gold standard that gives me peace and joy.

There is only one thing that I can possibly do:

Be myself
