Hi there. My name is Linda Bonadies.
I am a Solo Show Coach based in CT. I have written my own solo show and want to show you how to do it too. I can take you through the process or writing, as well as though the work behind the work, namely the emotional blocks and fears. I believe the world needs more authentic art. We can learn from each other and inspire one another.
It’s time to reconnect human to human, heart to heart. It’s time to move away from high production, commercialized art back to authentic creativity, and personal storytelling.

The Solo Show Musical I am speaking of is show with an overarching storyline (much like a Broadway show) that is conceived of, written by and performed by ONE Singer/Songwriter or Artist who uses both music and storytelling to tell their story.

The Solo Show is an authentic and intimate form of theater and is one of the fastest growing art forms. The Singer/Songwriter can infuse her original music into the show which is a powerful tool.
For the Singer/Songwriter or Artist, the Solo Show provides a larger framework for their art, taking them beyond the gig into musical theatre. And it is Accessible! No high production needed! All you need is yourself.
Audiences love the Solo Show. They want to know who you are. They want to know what’s really behind those songs! Audiences crave a more intimate, authentic look. The Solo Show is a powerful art form that connects human to human, heart to heart. No smoke in mirrors!
For me, writing my Solo Show Musical was life changing! Not only was it the most creatively rewarding endeavor, but it was an opportunity to heal, process, synthesize and actively direct the course of my life! Taking my show all the way to New York City was a thrill and adventure.
Your Solo Show Coaching happens in 4 stages:

2. Four Day 1:1 In Person Immersion
3. Writing and Editing Your Script
4. Take Your Solo Show From Story to Stage
Stage One: Your Free Solo Show Coaching Session
We’ll spend an hour on Skype or the phone clarifying your vision, flushing out your story, and talking logistics.
Stage Two: 4 Day 1:1 In Person Immersion
You come to my studio in Hamden or Mystic, CT with nothing but an open mind and some of your original songs that you think we can use for your show.
With 1:1 coaching, we immerse ourselves for 4 days talking, writing, improvising, telling stories. We’ll will flush out “the story you most need to tell” and discover your theme and transformational story arc.
Stage Three: Writing and Editing Your Script
Our follow-up editing stage will take place through Skype and email over the next 6 months to a year – until you have a final script in your hand. You will do a complete read through of your script, including the performance of your songs. This is a very important step. We’ll find out what is working and what still needs improvement. We’ll make final changes and get a great sense of the overall flow of your piece.
Stage Four: From Story to Stage
We’ll spend a final session on how to take your story to the stage – your next steps that include production, direction, and marketing.
At the end of this process, you will have a fully developed script for Your Solo Show Musical.
